Scientific target areas

Although the project is basically focused on the transfer and adaptation of a technology , that has been largely proved in the laboratory, to the real world of a fresh fish auction, there are also a series of scientific target areas:

• Prove that the new technologies are useful in traditional sectors, such as the sale and trade of goods, and that it achieves to maintain profitability and competitiveness in a globalized world.
• Develop intelligent agents, specialised in the purchase of fresh fish in Dutch auctions, using the well-known techniques of Artificial Intelligence.
• Provide a real environment in which to test the different Artificial Intelligence techniques in the creation of intelligent agents, both to test the existing techniques and to develop new ones.
